After emailing to ask if anyone would like to collaborate with me by sending photos of their local text based graffiti, the first photograph I was sent was this one. I got it on January 11th 2015.
The subject heading was “Absurd graffiti” and the email said
“This is the most absurd graffiti i found in my neighbourhood. It is the name of the tax deduct of the Oslo region…Skatt Øst = Tax East
Gode hilsner”
I made the photo black and white to make it easier to draw from. I made a pencil drawing and gave it to her on March 29th. I am looking forward to seeing where it is now and a photograph of this intervention.

SCENES OF A TEXTUAL NATURE
All you need to do to collaborate in this project is:
1. Take a photo of TEXT based graffiti in your local area. Maybe graffiti you pass by every day or look for the graffiti you didn’t notice before.
2. Email this photo to me with a description of where the graffiti is and anything else you want to add about it.
3. I will make a detailed drawing of it and send it back to you.
4. Put this back into your local neighbourhood, preferably where the original graffiti is and send me a photograph of this.
5. You can leave it there, or photograph it in situ and keep it, or copy it dozens of times and put the copies up in their neighbourhood, or send it back to me or any of these things. All I ask is that you send me a photo of whatever you do.
Thank you for collaborating on Scenes of a Textual Nature!
